Parish Pastoral Council 

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is a consultative body composed of selected parishioners who assist the parish priest in discerning and planning the overall pastoral direction of the parish. It studies the needs of the community, reflects on issues affecting parish life, and recommends priorities in areas such as worship, evangelization, formation, and social outreach. While it plays an important role in guiding the vision and mission of the parish, it does not have governing authority, as final decisions rest with the parish priest.

Parish commissions, on the other hand, are groups or ministries within the parish that focus on specific areas of church life and are responsible for implementing the plans and programs identified by the Parish Pastoral Council. Each commission handles a particular aspect of pastoral work, such as liturgy, education, social action, youth, or family life. Working under the guidance of the council and the parish priest, these commissions ensure that the parish’s mission is carried out in concrete and organized ways.
